come from a region around where the Vincentian fathers first
worked when they arrived in Kenya. Although the desert
can be hot and dry, Marsabit is in a high place
where fruit and vegetables can grow. The people are nomads
and include the
Samburu and the Rendille tribes. Before I entered
the Vincentians, I worked as an office messenger and with
a dispensary sterilizing
medical instruments. I felt that I had a vocation
since I was a young boy. I hope to faithfully follow Christ
the Evangelizer
of the poor in serving the poor despite difficulties
and obstacles. "
