The Vincentians

Bequests/Trusts

One of life’s most difficult moments is the death of a loved one. What makes these times even harder is trying to fulfill the wishes of the deceased when there is no valid Will or Trust. When someone dies without a Will or Trust, the Probate Courts distribute the estate, which is often a time-consuming process. Friends, as well as favorite charities, are not considered.

Having a valid Will or Trust will make you feel secure and confident that your intentions for your family will be carried out and your tradition of charitable giving will continue. There are three ways to remember the Vincentians in a Will or Trust:

  • A specific gift amount.
  • A percentage of the estate.
  • The remainder of the estate after the heirs and loved ones have been provided for and remembered.

Pray these simple words of St. Vincent, and ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance:

“Oh my God, set my heart on fire with the desire to serve you!”
