Keep the Prayers Coming!

By John Capellupo

I remember the day I received the Vincentian’s prayer ministry cards in the mail. I believe it was in September, around the feast of St. Vincent de Paul. I was touched by this ministry of prayer and by the willingness of the retired priests and brothers to offer their rosaries, personal prayers, Masses and spiritual intentions. In fact, I used my first prayer card a couple of months later and have sent nearly 100 cards since 2006.

I enroll family members, friends, neighbors and loved ones in the Vincentian Prayer Ministry. Knowing these holy men are praying for them and their intentions is a blessing. When a friend or family member is sick or going through a difficult time, I can’t think of a better way to support them than through prayer.

I am grateful for the invitation to have my family and friends lifted up in prayer by Vincentian priests and brothers. I feel spiritually united with the Vincentian Community and with their founder, St. Vincent de Paul, through this ministry. Keep the prayers coming!
