Students Set Sights on ‘a House and a Cow’

Students at St. Catherine Labouré Parish in St. Louis are helping families in need in Kenya. Since the beginning of the school year in September 2006, students at the K-8 school have raised approximately $1 per student per month – enough to buy a house and a cow for a needy Kenyan family every month. The project is the latest effort the parish has undertaken to help the Kenya Mission. “Teaching children to be mindful of the poor is part of our mission,” says Father Dan Thiess, CM.
