A REACH Discernment weekend is scheduled for April 8-10, 2005 near St. Louis, Missouri. A REACH retreat is for men and women considering a vocation to the Double Family of St. Vincent De Paul— either as a priest or brother in the Congregation of the Mission or as a sister in the Daughters of Charity. The weekend will include vocation talks, multimedia presentations, and a relaxed time for personal reflection and one-on-one spiritual direction.
Father Ron Hoye, CM, vocation director for the Congregation of the Mission, says of the REACH weekend, “If you have been curious or wondering if God may be calling you to religious life, then this is definitely for you. We promise no hard sell or pushing. It is your time with the Lord to sort things out and we’re here to help in that process.”
Realizing there are many ways that vocation can take shape, the REACH experience will reflect upon the unique expression of what it means to be a Vincentian priest, brother and sister.
Questions explored will include: How do I know if this is where God is calling me? How is the Double Family of the Congregation and the Daughters different from other orders? What is the process to become a Vincentian priest, brother or sister?
