Dedication Set for New Perryville Residence

Perryville Dedication
The new residence at St. Mary’s of the Barrens in Perryville, Missouri, is taking shape.
"Save the Date!” That’s the message that went out to confreres, family, and friends of the Midwest Province, as the Dedication of the new residence at St. Mary’s of the Barrens in Perryville, Missouri, has been set. The Dedication and Open House at the new building is set for the weekend of July 21-23. Plans are underway for making this a memorable event, with a mixture of both solemnity and festivity.

It was February 14, 2005, when demolition began on the old Novitiate and Student Buildings at St. Mary’s, clearing the way for the new construction of a sprawling single-story building that would house both active and senior Vincentians. Construction is close to being right on schedule, due to the combination of a mild winter and good management by our contractor, Stocker, Inc., and project manager, Father Joe Geders, CM.

If you can’t be there in person, join us in spirit as we dedicate not only this building, but a new chapter in the history of our motherhouse, St. Mary’s of the Barrens.

The Vincentian is published bimonthly by the Midwest and Southern Provinces of the Congregation of the Mission, the Vincentian Priests and Brothers, to promote the apostolic works of its members and those of the larger Vincentian Family.
