New Faces, New Places in the Treasurer’s Office

Tom BeckThe Congregation of the Mission Midwest Province is pleased to announce Tom Beck, previously Director of Finance and Operations, has been promoted to Provincial Treasurer. He is the first lay person to hold the office. Congratulations, Tom!

In his new role, Tom will oversee all aspects of the Province’s financial activities, including financial planning, budgeting, human resources, technology and other functions. Tom is a CPA who worked in the corporate sector for 25 years before joining the Congregation of the Mission in 2003.
“I am excited about my new responsibilities and will do my very best to help further the mission by protecting the province’s financial resources and assisting in financial planning to meet the future needs of the confreres and the province,” he says.

A native of St. Louis, Tom and his wife Karen celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last year. Their three children are still keeping them busy: they have a daughter in college, a son who graduated college in May, and another son who has finished college and is getting married in October.
