Friends Gather in ColoradoOn April 18, the Midwest Province hosted a gathering at Most Precious Blood Parish in Denver for donors, friends, seminarians, confreres and former confreres. Father Jim Swift, CM, was principle celebrant of the regular Saturday evening Mass and Father John Clark, CM, preached the homily. Afterwards, a light dinner was served in the parish hall and Fr. Swift gave a short talk on the many connections between the Vincentians and the Church in Colorado. Special displays were available on several Province ministries, including the seniority program, the Kenya mission and the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers. The next day, a smaller event was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Fort Collins, where Father Larry Christensen, CM, is wrapping up a 10-year assignment. Friends of the Province gathered after Mass for light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the Provincial. Despite a heavy spring snow storm, the events ran as scheduled and fellowship prevailed. |
