Formation

After some time of discernment with the Vincentians, you may begin the formal application process for admission to the pre-novitiate/pre-theology program. Here you will receive basic formation in the areas of personal, spiritual, apostolic and academic growth. Following this period is the novitiate – a non-academic year of focused formation in Vincentian spirituality and apostolic experience. Permanent vows in the community are taken sometime after the completion of the novitiate year. Brother candidates move on to specific training for their chosen ministry. Priesthood candidates take four years of theological studies and ministry training before they are ordained priests.
