Gateway Vincentian Volunteers

Gateway Vincentian Volunteers

This is an 11 month program which provides young adults with an experience of living in community and working with the poor in the spirit of St. Vincent DePaul, whose life’s work was dedicated to serving the poor and needy. The individuals who participate in this program live in the same building as the Vincentian priests and brothers. Weekly the volunteers dine with the community and daily they are invited to prayer. Above this volunteers encounter Vincentian in the house daily. A local contact is Jim Ryan and he can be reached at 314-771-1474

Vincentian Residence on Arsenal Street St. Louis

Vincentian Residence   Every Friday with few exceptions, Vincentian priests, brothers and members of the volunteer program gather for evening prayers at 5:30pm and then have dinner which is also prepared by them. A local contact is Fr. David Nations CM and he can be reached at 314-703-6987.

VOYA (Vincentian Outreach Young Adults)

VOTA

We are a group of young adults energized by the Vincentian charism and wanting to share it with others. Our next event will take place in New Orleans, La. On July 8th – 13th. Come join young adults (ages 20-39) from all over for 5 days of service to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. We don't have to tell you why we chose this location...suffice is to say that the need is terrific and we will be responding to that need with a hands-on, direct approach that marks our VOYA activities. Together with Vincentian family groups in the area (St. Vincent De Paul Society, Daughters of Charity, Vincentians) we will serve on behalf of those who were left with nothing. Our evenings together will mix prayer, Vincentian reflection, local interests and time to explore one of the most interesting and colorful cities in the United States!
