Greetings from the Provincial
Exciting things happen every day within the Congregation of the Mission Western Province. What may seem at first like simple, human acts – giving a homeless man a bowl of soup and some bread, teaching a few children about forgiveness or spending time with a woman dying of cancer – together form a beautiful tapestry of charity and generosity.
St. Vincent challenged, “Let’s give ourselves to God, then, once and for all, let’s work; let’s go to the assistance of the poor…who are waiting for us.” Following his example, the priests and brothers of the Western Province and their affiliates serve the poor, educate young people, lead parish missions, celebrate the sacraments and invite others to the fullness of life in Christ. With each act of love, we weave this tapestry of charity and gradually transform the world.
Whether you are interested in supporting our mission, considering a vocation as a Vincentian priest or brother, or simply want to learn more about us, we invite you to spend some time getting to know who we are and what we do. Consider helping us in our ministry as we work to alleviate suffering, ease poverty and share the Joy of the Gospel with those in need. Join us as we get to work.
Yours in St. Vincent,
Very Reverend Ray Van Dorpe, C.M. – Provincial Superior
