Where We Serve
St. Vincent challenged, “Let us love God, my brothers… but let it be with the strength of our arms and the sweat of our brow.” For Vincentian priests and brothers, loving God means dedicating our lives to the service of those in need, bringing the hope and peace of Christ to everyone we encounter. Like St. Vincent, we go wherever the need is greatest – cities small and large, Indian reservations, schools, parishes, seminaries, rural towns and villages throughout Kenya.
The Vincentians of the Western Province minister in metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, Denver, St. Louis and Dallas. They lead DePaul University in Chicago and also form and educate future priests in diocesan seminaries in Texas, Wisconsin and East Africa.
Through our parishes, ministries and apostolates, we evangelize the poor and help provide basic needs, such as food, shelter, education and childcare. Our calling is to serve God’s people with humility, simplicity and dignity and inspire others to do the same.
