Fr. John Rybolt, C.M., Vincentian Scholar at DePaul University in Chicago, produced the six-volume General History of the Congregation of the Mission while working in the literal presence of St. Vincent de Paul. He said the experience of researching and producing the history, especially doing so near St. Vincent’s interred remains, helped him to greater appreciate the community of the Vincentians and their history and charism.

While he readily admits making the decision to pursue a vocation can be daunting because of the lifelong commitment, but he advises to take advantage of the ready availability of those who can help you through the process.
