Peggy Brinkman has served for 20 years as Director of Religious Education at St. Catherine Laboure, a Vincentian parish in Sappington, Missouri. In our quarterly series, We Are All Vinctians, she reflects on her role as an educator in the Vincentian tradition and on a meaningful encounter with a woman from a community served by the Vincentians.
“It’s a beautiful process,” she said of her work with OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) candidates. “I like for them to experience the faith, not just learn about it. It’s the head and the heart, together, mostly the heart.”
